Try upcoming bot improvements early with Beta API keys
- 5new
You can now create Beta API keys to try upcoming bot improvements before they reach the stable release. Bots created with a beta key run our pre-release bot build for Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and web-based Zoom; everything else about the API, requests, responses and webhooks is unchanged, and existing keys keep running the stable release with no action needed.
New Features
- Beta API keys — when you create an API key in the dashboard, choose a Bot version: Stable (the default, the current production release) or Beta (our upcoming release, to try new bot behaviour early).
- Every bot created with a beta key runs the pre-release build: on-demand bots from
POST /v2/botsand batch creation, scheduled bots, and calendar bots, which keep the build of the key that scheduled them. - A key's version is fixed when it is created. To switch, create a new key. Beta keys are marked Beta in your API key list.
- Bots created from the dashboard and Zoom bots that use your own Zoom SDK credentials always run the stable release.
- Not available on self-hosted deployments.
