v2.6.8

Better speaker naming and an explicit Zoom passcode error

  • 4improved
  • 2fixed

Speaker names survive collisions instead of everyone involved being anonymised, calls where two people share one microphone name both, and a Zoom bot given the wrong passcode says so instead of failing vaguely.

Improvements

  • When two speakers collide during matching, the better-supported match keeps its name rather than both being reduced to a generic label.
  • A greeting recorded before the first speaker signal is attributed to the first identified speaker, and the opening run is located by timestamp so out-of-order transcription results are handled.
  • Calls where two people share a single microphone name the second voice by elimination from the participant list.
  • Zoom joins blocked by a CAPTCHA or anti-bot check are detected and reported as such, and a confirmed denial is kept as the reason rather than being overwritten by a later timeout. Terminal failures are no longer retried, and retries that do happen move to a different network.

Bug Fixes

  • An invalid Zoom passcode is reported as ZOOM_INVALID_PASSCODE in bot details, webhooks and alerts. See Error codes.
  • Google Meet's persistent "Camera not found" notification is dismissed, so it no longer sits over the recording.
