v2.6.35
Live transcription keeps streaming after a bot retries its join
- 1fixed
This release fixes real-time transcription for bots that have to retry their first join. If you stream transcripts to streaming_config.output_url, a bot whose first attempt ends in bot_rejected and is retried automatically now reconnects to your endpoint on the retried attempt instead of recording silently. There are no changes to API requests, responses or webhooks, and no action is needed.
Bug Fixes
- Live transcripts resume after an automatic join retry. With
streaming_enabledandstreaming_config.modeset totranscription, a bot whose first join attempt was refused (for example by Google Meet before the host saw the request) reportedbot_rejected, was retried automatically, then joined and recorded normally, but the WebSocket to yourstreaming_config.output_urlwas never reopened, sosession.startedandtranscript.segmentmessages stopped arriving for the rest of the call. The retried attempt now opens the stream exactly as a first attempt does. The recording and the post-call transcript were never affected. See Streaming.
