API v2/Released Oct 21, 2026

v2.6.36

Live transcription keeps streaming after a Meet or Teams bot retries its join

  • 1fixed

This release completes the retry-transcription fix for Google Meet and Microsoft Teams bots. When a bot's first join attempt is blocked and it retries, the retried bot now keeps sending live transcript events to your endpoint for the rest of the call. Zoom bots received this fix in v2.6.35. There are no changes to API requests, responses or webhooks, and no action is needed.

Bug Fixes

  • Google Meet and Microsoft Teams bots keep live transcription running after an automatic join retry. With streaming_enabled and streaming_config.mode set to transcription, a bot whose first join attempt was refused was retried automatically, then joined and recorded normally, but the WebSocket to your streaming_config.output_url was never reopened, so session.started and transcript.segment messages stopped arriving for the rest of the call. The retried attempt now opens the stream exactly as a first attempt does. The recording and the post-call transcript were never affected. See Streaming.
